The Samarkand Industrial Landmark (Uzbekistan)

  • Country: Uzbekistan

  • Location: Samarkand

  • Daily Capacity: 600,000 – 700,000 Standard Bricks

  • Kiln Cross-Section: 17.3 Meters

  • Kiln Diameter: 170 Meters

Case Introduction

Core Focus: Maximum Throughput for Regional Supply

1. Project Background

As a historical and growing industrial hub, Samarkand required a facility that could serve both the city and the surrounding provinces. The client opted for our largest configuration to ensure they could fulfill large government tenders.

2. Technical Highlights

This project mirrors the Andijan setup but with an even larger 170-meter diameter and the same 17.3-meter section.

  • Heat Recovery Efficiency: We optimized the cooling zone to extract high-temperature clean air, which is piped to a massive drying room. This drying room can hold over 1 million green bricks, ensuring they are perfectly pre-conditioned before entering the kiln, preventing "steam cracks."

  • Heavy-Duty Drive System: Due to the 170m circumference, we used a multi-point peripheral drive system to ensure smooth movement, preventing any jerking that could cause the tall brick stacks to collapse inside the kiln.

3. Outcome

600,000 to 700,000 bricks per day. This facility is currently the gold standard for brick production in western Uzbekistan, providing the durability and volume required for the region's harsh desert-edge climate.
