The Jakarta Efficiency Project (Indonesia)

  • Country: Indonesia

  • Location: Jakarta

  • Daily Capacity: 300,000 – 400,000 Standard Bricks

  • Kiln Cross-Section: 9.88 Meters

  • Kiln Diameter: 138.4 Meters

Case Introduction

Core Focus: Precision Firing for Tropical Clay Varieties

1. Project Background

The Indonesian market deals with highly plastic, high-moisture clay. The challenge in Jakarta is not just firing the bricks, but drying them efficiently without cracking in the humid tropical climate.

2. Engineering Solutions

We utilized a 9.88-meter cross-section and a 138.4-meter diameter.

  • Humidity-Controlled Drying: Before the kiln, we built a specialized tunnel dryer that uses precisely controlled humidity sensors. This slowly removes moisture from the tropical clay, ensuring the bricks are structurally sound before firing.

  • Corrosion Resistance: Given the coastal humidity, all external ducting and mechanical components were treated with high-grade anti-corrosion coatings to ensure a 20+ year lifespan.

3. Capacity

Delivering 300,000 to 400,000 bricks per day, this plant serves the high-end residential market in Jakarta, where brick aesthetics and strength are paramount.
